Finish Carpenter

About the Role

Shumway Construction & Development is seeking an experienced Finish Carpenter to join our team on an immediate basis. We have a strong and growing pipeline of custom luxury home projects in Telluride and Mountain Village — which means this is not a short-term engagement. We are looking for someone who wants to plant roots and grow with us.

Finish work on a Shumway home is held to an exceptionally high standard. Our clients invest significantly in their homes and expect every detail to reflect that. If you take pride in your craft and want your work to be noticed — this is the role for you.

What You Will Be Doing

• Install trim, molding, doors, windows, cabinetry, and built-ins to exacting standards
• Read and interpret architectural plans and finish schedules
• Work closely with the site superintendent and project manager to meet finish milestones
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site presence
• Collaborate with other trades during the finish phase
• Identify and solve finish-related challenges with precision and minimal rework

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in finish carpentry, preferably on custom or luxury residential projects
• Exceptional attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and finish carpentry techniques
• Ability to work independently and manage your time on site
• Comfortable working in an alpine environment year-round
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
