About the Role
As a General Laborer on the Shumway Construction team, you will work alongside experienced tradespeople on custom home construction sites in Telluride and Mountain Village. This is physical, rewarding work in a demanding alpine environment — and every day you will be contributing to something built to stand for generations.
We value reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Experience is helpful but attitude and dependability matter most to us.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with framing, concrete, and finish work
- Load, unload, and move materials around job sites
- Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout each day
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision
- Follow all safety protocols and site procedures
- Communicate clearly with the site superintendent and team
What We Are Looking For
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to work hard every day
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
- Basic construction knowledge or willingness to learn
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
